This lapel pin features Ashiarai Yashiki, a yokai from Japanese folklore known for the story of a giant foot that suddenly appears from the ceiling and demands to be washed.

The design was created by yokai sculptor Yukio Amano and crafted in Tokyo cloisonné by Tokyo Traditional Craftsman Hiroshi Hatakeyama.

Tokyo cloisonné (Tokyo Shippo) is a traditional enamel technique in which colored glass enamel is fired onto metal at high temperatures, creating rich color and depth.
