Oitekebori Yokai Cloisonné Lapel Pin

This lapel pin is inspired by Oitekebori, a famous ghost story from Edo-period Japan in which mysterious voices are said to whisper “leave it behind” to fishermen.

The design was created by yokai sculptor Yukio Amano and crafted in Tokyo cloisonné by Tokyo Traditional Craftsman Hiroshi Hatakeyama.

Tokyo cloisonné (Tokyo Shippo) is a traditional enamel technique in which colored glass enamel is fired onto metal at high temperatures, creating rich color and depth.
